Catching Up...

Wow I didn't think I would ever get back to blogging, but I forced myself to sit down and post the pictures I had from the end of last year.
So if anyone wants to see I have back posts from Halloween thru Christmas now. :)

Now onto 2011!

I had an idea...

So I had an idea pop into my head a little while ago but I just ignored it. And now I thought I would run it by and see what some people thought.

I know there are TONS of women out there that we are friends with and who read my blog from time to time, and I know a lot of them are pregnant and have little ones running around. I thought it might be fun to start a little blog dedicated to the mother's-to-be and those already mother's of young children. It would just be a place for mother's to share their stories, idea's, and thoughts on motherhood. I know I am forever asking for advice and idea's on raising my boy and I've had friends ask me for advice also. I thought it would be fun to start it with some interested women. I also know there are some very crafty women out there I would love to feature on the blog. I would post fun projects, tips, recipes, potty training ideas, and stuff like that. And with all the pregnant women I thought it would be fun to track the pregnancy's since so many of us are so close together.

Anyways it's an idea, it just seems like lately I have been using my family blog for my pregnancy and childraising questions and I just thought it would be nice to have a place to share with women who are in my same boat. It's always nice to have someone around to give you some advice or to know that you aren't the only mother out there that feels like she is going crazy somedays...I know Im not alone!

So let me know if any of you would be interested in a blog like this....if not I won't waste my time.

There's a 50% Chance....

Today I had another doctor appointment. It started off great, I haven't gained any weight (knock on wood) And I told him what was going on and he didn't seem worried at all about the headaches and migraines...he said lots of women get them during pregnancy because of all the hormonal changes. Those darn hormones can be brutel! But we were also able to take a peek at the baby.

This was a fun task...apparently we are going to have another "very active" kid. The baby wouldn't hold still for a second. The doctor couldn't get a good enough look, he thought he saw a little boy part so he said,

"I say it's about a 50% chance that it's a boy!"

wow....I could have told him that before he even started, made me laugh!

But as you can tell by the first ultrasound photo that it's hard to make out anything with their old equipment. So he said if I wasn't satisfied with the 50% chance I could wait for the Technicion to come in and have him use the good equipment to take a look.

So we waited for what seemed like forever (since I had a full bladder).

Finally we got in to take another look. This ultrasound was so much clearer. And this guy said,

"90% chance it's a girl"

So now I am like ok what do I believe. The first guy who, "thought he say a boy part," and the second guy who, "can't see anything inbetween the legs" I don't know I am still a little weary.

So there you go, 50% chance it's a boy and 90% chance it's a girl!

Maybe next month the baby won't be so modest and we will have a definate! :)
The first look...I can't even tell what it is!

Second look, I love the profile!

Pregnancy Fun...

Well here I am in my 18th week of pregnancy and I am still struggling with the morning sickness. And now I've developed this wonderful case of constent headaches. Saturday I had a wonderful migraine that lasted about 9 hours plus the joy of throwing up all day! Than I woke up Sunday with a lovely rash all over my face...what is going on with my body? Why am I getting all of these headache and migaines everyday? When will the morning sickness go away?

But on the good side, I am feeling the baby move! It's so exciting! It's not much movement but it's nice to know that all the crappy things my body is going through is worth it! :)

I didn't mean for this post to be such a whinning post, but I did want to post and see if anyone struggles with migraines...and what do you do when you get one to make yourself feel sane? The one I had Saturday I seriously wanted to gouge my eyes out and rip off my ears :) But Im not crazy!

Any suggestions??

My Little Boy

It feels like over night my sweet little baby has grown into a very active boy!

I have been having so much fun with my little buddy lately I thought I would post some pictures to share.

Today was such a beautiful day we spent some time outside in the backyard.

Austin LOVES anything that has wheels
He likes to spin the wheels and makes car noises

He could play like this all day!

He found the dogs' tennis ball and was trying to throw it over the fence

He got pretty close and the dogs went crazy

Here he is playing with his truck in the grass
This was a few days ago: Austin had fallen asleep on the couch so I was working on editing some photos in my office. About 10 mins. later I was thinking to myself how wonderful it was to get some work done while my kid took a nap...well that's when I heard some little footsteps in the front room. I went to see what he was doing...he was distroying the room and hitting things with his bat. This has never happend before. You see Austin has always cried when he wakes up from his nap (which is usually 15-20 mins long) and he didn't cry this time. He is growing out of that baby stage. But I had to share this photo because it was so cute how he looked so innocent.

Austin has been in need of a haircut for a long time, Grandma Jan usually does it for him but she hasn't been able to since she broke her wrist. So finally today I decided to attempt this myself. Let me tell ya it wasn't fun or easy! Austin kept moving and hitting my hands away. Im surprised I didn't cut his ear off! But it actually turned out ok...I think. I have no clue where is blonde hair came from!

These pictures are from a little while ago when he was hanging out with Grandpa Dan and Ryan. Austin LOVES to hit things and when he was introduced to the Wii drums, he was in heaven!

He is such a little boy now!
It seems like yesterday when I had Austin cuddled in my arms in the middle of the night feeding him and singing to him while he looked up at me with his big beautiful eyes and the only person he wanted was his mommy and I thought how lucky I was to be his mother and to have this sweet little baby boy so dependant on me...and I blinked and today he is a boy! He wants to be with his daddy, he like to headbutt and hit, he throws tantrums, he is always on the go, he is very independant and he doesn't want to cuddle anymore.
Where did the past 14 months go?

Boy or Girl....

Well I am counting down the days until my next doctors appointment because we will get to find out if we will be having a boy or a girl. So I thought it would be fun to find out what everyone else thinks and post a poll. I did this with Austin and everyone but two people thought he was going to be a girl.

Aaron really wants a boy (actually deep down I know he wants a girl but he won't admit it). I really want another boy too because Austin and the baby will be so close it would be fun for him to have a brother (and girls scare me with all that drama!)...but every woman wants a little girl - I wish I was having one of each!!! :) but honestly I am just praying for a healthy baby no matter what it is!

I can't wait! And to think I was actually going to try and not find out what we were having...I would have never lasted, well Aaron would never lasted!

Tuesday the 28th is the big day (I will be 19 weeks 3 days - can't believe they are making me wait this long) ...unless I can get an appointment earlier!

:)

A wonderfully "Wicked" weekend

This past Easter weekend was so wonderful! Aaron, Austin, and I went to Utah to spend Saturday and Sunday with Aaron's family.

Saturday Aaron and the guys went golfing and I got to spend the day with my sister. It was so nice to have some one-on-one time with her since I don't get to see much of her. We had fun going to lunch, shopping, and exchanging pregnancy stories! She is due a month and a 1/2 earlier than me and when she showed me all the fun little girl things she has picked up it made me want a girl....we will see on the 28th if that will happen!

That night we went out to eat with the whole family plus a few more. I love spending time with Aaron's family, I can't believe I was lucky enough to get in-laws I enjoy being around! After we ate dinner Aaron and I took most of the kids swimming at the hotel while everyone else did some last minute shopping. Austin enjoyed the hot tub more than the pool.

On Easter (after the Easter bunny came) the guys went golfing again and Jan got tickets to the play "WICKED" and most of the girls went to the play. Oh my gosh I love love LOVED this play! It was amazing! The props and stage sets were so neat!! And the story was so good...Everything was just wonderful about this play. Thank you so much Jan for the opportunity to see this! Most of you don't know this about me but I LOVE musicals and plays, I always have, always will! I would take a play over a movie anyday!

Anyways that was our wonderfully "Wicked" weekend in a nutshell.

Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter weekend!

here are some photos:

I guess "The cats out of the bag"

or should I say, "there's a bun in the oven!"

I can't keep it to myself anymore---

read Austins shirt (this is how we told my family)

Yeap, that's right we are expecting #2! Austin is going to be a big brother, and he is only 1! Call us crazy but we are very excited! It has been very hard for me to keep this a secret, but even harder for Aaron (who actually tells everyone he runs into). But I have been good at keeping a secret...I've known for over 2 months now that I was pregnant! This was no mistake we wanted our first two kids to be close.

I am already 16 weeks along. And it has been a little hard with a one year old, morning sickness, flu, cold, and being busy with my photography. That's why I've been looking so "HOT" lately - people probably think I've just let myself go! But I think the morning sickness is about over...well I hope! It ended about 19-20 weeks when I was pregnant with Austin.

We were trying for an October baby (I've always wanted an October baby, it's my fav. month) but as usual Aaron can't wait for things and my due date is September 21st. I was honestly shocked that I got pregnant so fast. It took us a year the first time and about a week this time - I was amazed, but very excited!

We get to find out on the 28th if little baby Mac is a boy or girl! Our hopes are leaning towards a boy because we have all the boy stuff from Austin and they will be 19 months apart so it would be fun to have a boy for Austin. But I know we will be just as excited if it's a girl - even though my sister will kill me if we do. Either way we are just praying for a health baby!

Here are a few pictures from the first ultrasound last month. This makes all the morning sickness and sleepless nights worth it! So sweet and tiny!

In this one he was waving at us.

Oh it's so nice to have that out in the open now...it's like trying to hide an elephant, since I am starting to look more like one!

Here is the countdown as of today:

So that's what's new with our little trio....I guess we will have to come up with another name for our blog - any ideas?

Teething Troubles

My little buddy has had the worst week ever, starting out with burning his hand, a wonderful diaper rash, a virus, diarrhea, and cutting tons of teeth!

Austin had been running a fever for three days and was just miserable. I figured he was cutting a new tooth because he kept pulling on the sides of his mouth. On Friday night he had a fever of 103, scared Aaron and I called the hospital. We've been keeping tylenol pumped into him regularly. He hasn't really eaten much since Friday either. It wasn't until Sunday morning when I noticed he had TONS of teeth coming in. Poor kid. If I counted right he has atleast 5 teeth coming in, he kept screaming so I stopped looking. I feel so bad for him. After a 30 minute nap he woke up hysterically screaming like he was in extreme pain. Grandma Jan came over and took us to the clinic. He checked out fine but the doctor said he must have a virus, and with cutting teething he is just miserable.

Last night the orajel seemed to finally help a little, it's the first time he actually ate...but today the jel hasn't seemed to be doing anything for him, he won't eat anything and he is on my lap crying.

So here he is on his 4th day of being miserable. He will climb on my lab and just cry and hunch over in pain. I feel so helpless! He is in so much pain, you can see it on his face. I just can't believe he has so many teeth coming in at once. He didn't get his first tooth until he was 10 months. Here he is at almost 14 months and he has 10 or more!!

Hippity Hoppity...

Here comes the Easter bunny...ok he is a week early!

My family (Brendles) got together today for lunch and an Easter egg hunt in between the conference sessions.

It's always fun to see the family (I missed my sister and her family though...but can't feel to bad, her and her husband are soaking up the sun in Vegas). It's amazing how much the family has grown in the last few years. We just keep adding grandkids. A few years ago there was only 3 grandkids and this year there will be a total of 10...maybe more!!

Anyways my mom and I put together a little egg hunt for the grandkids. Here are a few pictures of my little buddy collecting eggs.

He loved the eggs

Daddy had to help him.

At first Austin just wanted to kick the eggs or throw them.
