Catching Up...

Wow I didn't think I would ever get back to blogging, but I forced myself to sit down and post the pictures I had from the end of last year.
So if anyone wants to see I have back posts from Halloween thru Christmas now. :)

Now onto 2011!

Fun with the Brendle Family

This weekend we had the opportunity to watch my nephew Cade get baptized and spend some time with my sister and her family.

We headed to Hill base Friday after Aaron got off work. Saturday was a big day for Cade.
He looked so cute in his little suit. It was a very neat baptism, our whole family was able to make it - we are very proud of Cade for his choice to become a member.

After the baptism we headed to the park for a birthday celebration in honor of Cade. We had a BBQ and the kids had water fights...than some of the adults got into the fights and it ended in smashing cupcakes in each other's faces.

I love the time I get to spend with my family (even though it's not much). It was just nice to have everyone together for once.

It's 100% Official...

We finally have a definate-

We are having a GIRL

I had my big ultrasound yesterday and they said it is 100% Girl! But more important the baby seems healthy and normal! YAY!

It's a good thing it's a girl because I would hate to put on all those cute pink outfits I've collected on a boy!

Here are a few of the ultrasound photos:

This one was a little hard to tell (so I made it obvious) but it's pretty clear that there is nothing in between those legs!

And here is her little profile...so cute!

So there you have it...now I just need the perfect name. Aaron and I have a million boy names (as we were hoping for 4 boys and than 1 girl). So if there are any suggestions I'd love to hear them. The only one I seem to like is McKenzee Marie. Her middle name will definitely be Marie (since it is my middle name).

For the rest of the info is more for journaling purposes:

At the ultrasound her heartbeat rate was 125 (which surprised me because I was always told girls had faster heartbeats than boys and I remember Austin's being 147). Her measurements from butt to head were 6 in. and approximate weight was 15 oz. They said she was measuring a little smaller than what my due date says (her measurements put the due date as Oct. 2nd - which I would love an October baby) but he said the measurements from the first ultrasound are more accurate which is Sept. 21st.

As for momma-

I am now 23 1/2 weeks. I feel bad because I haven't documented my belly growth like I did when I was pregnant with Austin. So I guess it's better late than never. So I will try and get some bump pics on here. I already look like I am at 30 weeks, but I haven't gained any weight...ok I should knock on wood because my next appointment I'll probably gain 10 lbs. But I did start out 10 lbs. heavier with this baby than I did with Austin (I was in much better shape than too, I was jogging 2 miles everyday for the first 2 months of my first pregnancy (than the wonderful morning sickness hit)...and with this one I'd probably die if I tried to walk a mile! And I still have problems with morning sickness - (but it has gotten better). And my headaches happen a lot less (and haven't had a migraine in 2 weeks) so that's really good news.

And I had to throw in these pictures of Austin; he is my little future photographer:

Austin loves to turn on the studio lights while I am working on the computer (it's the only way to keep him happy while I work) - but once I get my new lights this won't be happening, as for my photographer friends - I know my lights are crap :)

I can't wait to get him his first camera...ok I admit it I already bought him one but he is still to little for it!

Memorial Weekend

Our little Trio had a fun filled weekend and mom wasn't the best documenter (I didn't take pictures of most of our fun).

My sister and her family came up Friday-Sunday to spend some time with us and we had such a blast...I wish she lived closer (ok if I was wishing for things I wish we lived in Utah).

Saturday we all went to the pool and let the boys play for a while - while the pregos chatted and watch from the side. After the pool we went to Jensens Grove so the boys could play football (which they ended up jetskiing and Cyndee and I went home and enjoyed the cool indoors). Later on we ordered some Pizza and just hung out while the guys watched basketball. That night I was wonderfully sick and didn't sleep much (well I don't sleep much anyways).

Sunday Aaron and Steve went golfing...what's a fun weekend without golfing right?
Thanks for a fun time Cyndee, Steve, Cade, and Blake...we miss you already!

Monday we decided to try and go to the zoo (as did everyone else, we waited in line for a while to get in).

While we were waiting for Aaron's parents, Danee and Aaron decided to take Austin on some rides (Austin didn't care to much for them):

He cried the whole time on the farris-wheel

Than he cried on the Merry-Go-Round

Aaron wanted to take him on this ride but I said no, which Im am glad because Danee almost lost it.

When Grandma and Grandpa Mc got there we headed to to zoo.

The Three of us (and one in the oven)

Austin loves his Aunt Danee

But he doesn't like the goats

Not even a little.
Now that I think about it, Austin spent most of the day whining... We even played the slide and he cried:

I just hope he gets over his whining stage before the baby gets here...and his seperation anxiety with Aaron (the kid screams anytime Aaron walks out of a room - he could care less if Im around or not)!

Twinkie Lover

My wonderful husband has introduced our son to Twinkies. I don't know what possessed him to bring one home - neither one of us eats Twinkies. But for some reason Aaron thinks it's a good thing to feed Austin for breakfast. Mom just loves the mess they make! And now we have another Twinkie lover in the family (my brother loves Twinkies, it's a family joke).

Road Trip to Minnesota

The past week we joined Aaron's parents (and the Gillins family) in a road trip to Minnesota to go see his sister Chelsee graduate college. There was 9 of us in a motor home (which broke down on the way home) it was quite the adventure! I have never been on a road trip to Minnesota so I was pretty excited to see North Dakota and Minnesota (places I've never been).

We left Idaho, drove through Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and into Minnesota. Here are some pictures of our fun time.

Our first big stop was Mount Rushmore:

It was neat to find out that one of the McLaughlan's ancestor's
was a worker on Mount Rushmore.

Taylor & Dan

The whole crew:
Jan, Dan, Mason, Randee, Taylor, Jenny, Austin, Aaron, and Me

Aaron and Austin in Deadwood, ND

Aaron being one of the kids

Austin loved it when we stopped
because he would climb up and play with the wheel.

The whole reason for the trip.
Austin with Chelsee the big college grad!
Chelsee graduated from Concordia College
with a bachelor's degree.
We are so proud of her!

Austin modeling his new pj's from Grandpa Dan

Austin's had his first crush on the trip.
He totally loves Randee, he wouldn't leave her alone one night
it was so cute he kept giving her hugs and laying on her.
Atleast we know he has good taste in girls!

Austin's loved this little ride,
he cried for a long time when we left.
This trip was a fun adventure, Thanks so much Jan and Dan for inviting us on your trip. We had fun!
There are some more pictures of the trip on my photography site
