Wow I didn't think I would ever get back to blogging, but I forced myself to sit down and post the pictures I had from the end of last year.
So if anyone wants to see I have back posts from Halloween thru Christmas now. :)

I got in Trouble :)

So my husband has been waiting for this post...

I must post a retraction (more or less because my husband wants me to). :)

First off I love my husband very much - But babe I don't have to like golf. You see I never said I HATE golf! The only reason I don't hate it is because I know it makes you so happy and Im glad you have something that you are very good at and you love. But that doesn't mean I have to like it! :) You don't like photography!

Anyways- Here is the story:

So the night after I posted my "I don't like golf" blog I got a phone call around midnight from my husband. He wasn't to happy. His mom had woke him up and told him to check the blog. I guess as Aaron was reading it his wonderful father was laughing at him the whole time. You see DAN is my problem! :) j/k

But I got a phone call after he read it and all he said was - "Im in Logan" and I knew he had read the blog. He wasn't to happy I posted what I did. He doesn't want my friends and family to think he is a bad guy...even today he kept saying, "all of your friends probably think I am a bad guy." I love how he cares so much what everyone else thinks of him - but me!

Don't worry babe from all the responses, eveyone else had a husband has an addictive hobby! So now I know Im not alone - atleast you aren't addicted to legos or GI joes. :) (you know who you are).

I guess I did the right thing because he sent me roses the next day with a card that said, "Im sorry!" Now I've learned that when I want flowers all I have to do is post a blog about not liking golf and I'll get some roses! :) I love ya babe and the roses are gorgeous - but I still don't like golf!" - will that get me a diamond ring? j/k

So to all of the wifes out there who have addicted husbands - it's ok, I've learned everyone has their battles with their husband and their hobbies. As long as they feel bad sometimes for being so addicted, I guess it's not the end of the world!

So I say lets all go shopping!!!!!

I really don't like Golf!

Im struggling and Im not quite sure what to do.

Aaron has left for - yet another golf tournament.
Before he left I was pretty silent. I just basically told him I love you and goodbye.
I try really hard to be supportive of his hobby. And I’ve been trying really hard not to complain about it. I know he works hard and he deserves his free time. I just wish that a little bit of that free time would include me in it. I guess the best way to describe how I am feeling is hurt.

He'd drop anything to go golf. I guess him and his buddies have been planning this golf trip and he told me Monday night. To be honest with you, I don't even know where he is? Somewhere in Utah. He just got back from a golf trip in MT and he is going on another one in October in NV. He just up and takes off for a few days to go golf.

So since it is 2:00 a.m. and I am wide awake I thought I'd blog these cartoons that explain how I am feeling. They totally discribe Aaron.

Anyone else have an addicted husband like mine???

Digital Scrapbooking????

Ok everyone listen up.... I know a lot of you are digital scrapbookers, and I want in on it!!!

I am so sick of making such a mess when I scrapbook, and not to mention the butt load of money I spend on it! I've been told that it's so much easier to do scrapbooking digitally. And there is no mess - how nice! SO I want to start. I've asked many people how and no one seems to be able to tell me how you start. And I've seen that you can get free layouts online? So how do I do this? I really need help and I know there are a lot of you out there that know how - so spread the wealth! :)

I need help! I haven't scrapbooked in a very long time, I've been to busy to pull it out and make a mess...the only scrapbooking I have done is the premade book my wonderful sister gave me for Austin (it's cute!). But I have like a million pictures I need to scrapbook!

So is digital really easier and faster? Can you print out the pages? Does it cost a lot?

Someone help me get started....Please. :)

So I thought I'd share with you all because I am proud of myself I actually thought of this myself and ACTUALLY did it! :) Sorry for tootin' my own horn but Im happy!

I still think I might add some more stars on the bottom to even it out but I am pretty happy about how it turned out! "Toot, Toot" :)

Busy as can be

I can't believe we are headed into Fall already! It seems like summer was gone in a blink! I don't mind it because I LOVE Fall! It's my favorite time of year. October is my favorite month! But I am afraid if our little family doesn't slow down we are going to miss it! Since we have been so busy I decided to take a breather and blog what we have been up to!

POISON CONCERT

Well last post was about the fair. I never posted anything about the Poison concert Aaron and I went to. Ever since I was little I have totally LOVED Poison! This is probably because my older brother and sister, James and Cyndee liked them. Unfortunately my parents did not like them so they had to hide the CD from them maybe that was another reason I liked them! :)

But when I heard that they were coming to the fair I told Aaron we had to go. My mom watched Austin for the first time - and I think my dad held him the whole time (it is cute how much my dad is warming up to Austin) Aaron didn't know a lot of the songs but I think he still had a good time. We were 5-10 feet away from the stage and about halfway through I had the move to the back because the guy next to me was smoking the whole time. I was having a hard time enjoying myself with all the smoke in my face. Other than that I loved it!

SURPRISE CYNDEE

Sept 7th is my sister Cyndee's birthday; she lives in Utah and doesn't see much of our family so Aaron and I decided that we should go surprise her. We called her hubby Steve and told him we were coming up that day. I think she was really shocked that we came down just to see her! I think she was happy. We spend the day with her family and had a blast at "Fat Catz" - a really fun place with lots to do. We played "Deal or No Deal" which was a lot of fun! We went miniature golfing - and I had 3 hole-in-ones. Than we went bowling - I was awful!!!! It's been to long. But we had fun!
In the mini golf area
Blake playing "Deal or No Deal" - he was pretty good.

Austin riding the mini merry go round...so cute!

AUSTIN IS 7 MONTHS

And on the 10th of this month Austin turned 7 months old! CRAZY! He is doing so much now and is SOOOO ACTIVE!!! He pulls himself up onto everything, and when he can't he'll crawl and get into something he's not suppose to. He doesn't like him Johnny jumper that much anymore - he just want me to hold him so he can jump. He is getting to be so time consuming - But he is as cute as can be!!!

Austin's favorite playmate, his daddy

Crawling - he's been doing this a while but now he has got the hand over hand down instead of scooting. He is always on the move.

Loves to look in the mirror at himself and smiles, here he is clapping and smiling at himself.

I love this, he has been doing this for about a month now but I finally took a picture of it. He will hold himself up in the tub and peek over...usually to try and find Gizmo. Such a cute little tushy!
This picture has a story. One day, almost a month ago, I put Austin down for a nap in his crib and I went upstairs to edit some photos...well it had been about an hour (Austin never takes long naps, usually 15 mins.) and I was a little worried so I went to check on him and I opened the door slowly and this is what I saw! It was so cute and funny. I don't know how long he had just been standing like that. But he was happy! When ever I put him in his crib awake he will pull himself up and just smile!

VISITING AUNT MINDEE

The next weekend (this past weekend) Dan and Jan decided to go visit Mindee and Brent (Mindee is Aaron's sister). And Aaron decided we should go...well I had a problem, I had a photo shoot so I couldn't go, and so Aaron and Austin went without me. That was very hard for me. I missed my baby so much. They were gone until Monday. I was really going through withdrawals. Every time I'd see a baby I'd want to cry! I know I’m a baby myself, but Austin has become my little buddy! Aaron was a little mad that I didn't miss him as much as Austin. Thing is I am used to not seeing Aaron all the time. But I am so happy they are home. And Austin said he had a blast with Mindee! I really wish I could have gone- But I did get a lot done while they were gone so it was nice to see like I finally got something accomplished!

Our "Ticket to Fun"

Friday my mother and I took Austin to the fair. He did so well. The one thing I wanted to do this year was take Austin on the Merry-Go-Round and that's what we did. Kaidence and Taylor went with us and Austin really enjoyed it. He looked so cute and grownup. He held on all by himself. He even did the one hand hold for a while like a cowboy. Eveyone watching was laughing and saying, "how cute!" I was so proud of my little man! It really was adorable! After the ride we went and checked out the petting zoo, Austin wasn't sure of the goats - he was probably thinking, what happend to Gizmo. Anyways here are some photos of our fun day.

Called to Serve

This blog is all about Uncle Jordan!

This past weekend and few days has been very busy for the McLaughlan family – not because of the parade and fair but because of Jordan (Aaron’s little brother).
Saturday night Jordan had his Eagle court of honor. Than on Sunday he had his farwell. Jordan has been called to the Portugal Porto Mission, and he reported to the MTC yesterday.
Yesterday was a very emotional, but exciting. We were able to take Jordan down to the MTC. We are all so proud of Jordan and his wonderful decision to serve a mission. He will surely be missed (mostly his laughter and teasing) but we know he will do marvelous things on his mission, and it is where he needs to be. The MTC is such a neat place. It's fun to watch the different young men that enter and the mixed emotions they show - such excitement and sadness. I don't know who was more excited to be there Jordan or Aaron. Aaron was like a kid in the candy store when we got to the MTC, he pointed everything out to Jordan and his face would light up when he'd remember something. Aaron loved his mission and I know Jordan will be the same way. We all could tell Jordan was ready! And the 2 years will fly by!

Austin & Jordan - I can't believe when Jordan gets back Austin will be 2 1/2 years old, he won't even recognize him! And who knows maybe there will be another little McLaughlan baby boy running around! :)

Raymond & Jordan - this was one of the hardest things for Jordan to leave. Ray has been Jordan's best friend forever.

Austin sitting with Grandpa Dan and he is crashed on the couch. We were all up by 4 a.m. to be ready and down to the MTC and Austin was the only one who wasn't tired by the end of the day.

We'll Jordan are all behind you Jordan and love you! Portugal is lucky!

Parade & Fair Fun

It's fair time again!! And our little trio has been busy!

Aaron decided about a week about to build a deck on the front of our house....and the day before the parade he decided to do it! He loves to wait until the last minute to destroy the house - it must be a family thing :) He worked on it all Friday night (with help from friends and family) until they lost light and than he woke up at 6 Saturday morning to finish it. He barely had it done in time. Doesn't look to bad (he still has to finish a few things). I don't know why he had to get it done for the Parade, everyone was by the street. He makes me laugh sometimes! Last year he did the same thing - he waited until two days before the Parade to lay sod for our front yard, and so our grass was all wet because we had to keep water on it. I dont' know what it is but he like to push a deadline. I don't think he really ever stresses, and things like that stress me out! I wonder what he is going to do for next year? But he is making our house wonderful! Thanks babe!

And so with our deck done we had our friends and family on our front yard for the parade. The best part was that my sister Cyndee and her husband Steve surprised me and showed up for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. I think this is one of Aaron's fav. days of the year - besides Christmas - he looks forward to having people at our house and the parade is the best excuse he has. He cooked about 75 hot dogs, and they were all eaten - And I never got one! Even the mailman got one! :) So here are some pics from the parade:

Bowen - only the Brendle family will appreciate these photos. Bowen stands just like Tim did when we were little.

Sunday we finally made it to the fair (I know I feel bad for going on Sunday). Jenna, Jess, and I all walked around with our husbands for a few hours....we've decided that the fair NEVER changes. I think we did the whole fair thing in 2 hours. Than Jenna, Kevin, Aaron, and I went to the Tracker Pulls. I had never been to one and I loved it! It was neat to see the different trucks and mini's they had.
